The tournament of champions is one of the most infamous and exciting comps around. The tournament has the most famous faces in the game all competing against each other, which of course attracts a huge amount of attention in the poker world.
There is now seventeen players left competing and Mike Matusow is the chip leader sitting with 85,000 chips with the blinds currently at 500/1000 with an ante of 100 .
However there is no doubt a great challenge awaits him with Huck Seed sitting second and Johnny Chan, Scotty Nguyen, and Joe Hachem fighting for position behind them. Also let’s not forget the huge names like Negreanu, Hellmuth, Ferguson and Duke who are also coming on strong.

The tournament of champions is a real treat for the poker world and especially the fans. They were the ones who chose the players by voting on who they wanted to see play. There has been some backlash by some players who felt they should have been included but the tournament really does provide a great spectacle.
The prize money is as follows,
- 1st - $500,000
- 2nd – $250,000
- 3rd - $100,000
