The magnificent Tournament of Champions has come to an exhilarating finish.

Texas Holdem Poker The magnificent Tournament of Champions has come to an exhilarating finish. This is the fourth time the tournament has been held and it was Huck Seed left standing alone with the coveted prize of Champion of Champions.

As the tournament came to a close Howard Lederer knocked out two time main event winner Johnny Chan. By this point Howard and Seed’s chip stack was equal and there was little room for manoeuvre for both players.

The direction of the game took a dramatic change when a flop of 653 came down on the table. Seed was sitting with 96 in his hand and was behind Howard. However luck was on his side and the turn and river was 8,7 giving Seed a straight.

It was only a few hands later and the game was over. Seed flipped A2 and Howard showed his Q8. The board ran 7669A leaving Huck Seed as the Champion of Champions. This win really has cemented Huck as one of the poker greats, however many would argue he was already there.

He has collected 4 bracelets and over 37 WSOP cashes with over $5,000,000 in live tourney winnings. And let’s not forget arguably his greatest poker achievement was the win 14 years ago in the WSOP Main Event.

There is no doubt this competition is a great treat for the poker world and let’s hope it becomes a regular things that we can all look forward to.
